On his 40th birthday, Ranveer Singh dropped the fiery first look of Dhurandhar, an action-packed thriller that marks his return to the big screen after two years. And from the looks of it, the man is back with a bang.
A Bloodied, Smouldering Entry
In the teaser, Singh walks through a dimly lit corridor, face bloodied, hair longer, beard heavier, and eyes burning with vengeance. A cigarette dangles from his lips as chaos unfolds in flashes of action — punches, gunfire, and grit. Alongside him, we see Sanjay Dutt and Akshaye Khanna in equally intense avatars, promising a high-stakes narrative full of power plays.
Directed by Uri filmmaker Aditya Dhar, the film is based on a real-life incident — although details remain under wraps. But the vibe? All kinds of menacing.
The Cast Packs a Punch
Ranveer’s Instagram also revealed the film’s ensemble, featuring heavyweights like R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun — the former child star now set to make her Bollywood debut. Fun fact: Sara Arjun played young Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Ponniyin Selvan.
The age-gap casting with Ranveer raised a few eyebrows, but fans are more focused on the comeback energy: “Finally, ab hoga Ranveer Singh ka comeback!” one commented on YouTube.
A Comeback After Rocky
Ranveer was last seen playing the flamboyant lover boy in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Dhurandhar, in contrast, has him playing a spy navigating shadowy violence and political secrets.
From fragile romance to brutal resistance, this is Ranveer rewriting his narrative.
December 5th Release & Big Clash
Dhurandhar is slated to release on December 5 and will clash at the box office with Prabhas’ high-budget The Raja Sahab. Given the hype, the face-off promises fireworks, both on-screen and at the ticket counters.
